Nazariyeh, Parivash (born January 23, 1970, Gachsaran)
Nazariyeh is a graduate of Theater from the University of Tehran, Faculty of Fine Arts.
She began her cinematic career in 1990 with the movie ‘The Bride of Halabja’, directed by Hasan Karbakhsh.
She gained fame by performing in the movie ‘Father’ (1995), by Majid Majidi, which won her a Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
She was also nominated for Fajr International Film Festival awards for the films ‘The Lone Tree’ (2000) and ‘Reward of Silence’ (2006).
Nazariyeh has performed in the movies ‘Smell of Camphor, Fragrance of Jasmine’ (1999), ‘Duel’ (2002), ‘Gold and Earth’ (2008) and ‘A Cube of Sugar’ (2010).
Among her series are ‘Remembrance’ (2013) and ‘Madineh’ (2014).
She has directed a number of short films and documentaries. She is also an art photographer, writer and scenic designer and has served as a member of the panel of jury of the Iran’s House of Cinema Celebration and Parvin Etesami festivals.
