Nematollah, Hamid (born 1967, Tehran)

Hamid Nematollah is an Iranian scriptwriter and director. He moved to the cinema landscape by working as a director’s assistant on Masoud Kimiaee’s ‘Banquet’ (1995).

He made his directional debut with ‘Boutique’ (2003).  The movie was nominated for Best Film at the Iran Cinema Celebration Awards and gained the Best Film Crystal Simorgh from Fajr Film Festival.

Nematollah has made some movies, including ‘Let's Talk About the Past’ (2008), ‘Down and Out’ (2008), and ‘Hard Makeup’ (2013) as well as directing the series ‘Code White’ (2011).

He received a Certificate of Merit for the Best Screenplay from the Fajr International Film Festival for ‘Down and Out’ (2008).

His brother, Saeed Nematollah, is also a scenarist and scriptwriter.
