Mosaffa, Ali (born December 1, 1966, Tehran)
Iranian actor and director Ali Mosaffa graduated with a Civil Engineering degree at the University of Tehran in 1995.
His first acting performance was in ‘Hope’ (1991).
He became a well-known actor after his performances in ‘Pari’ (1995) and ‘Leila’ (1997).
He also has experience as documentary, short and feature film director and writer.
Mosaffa has won many awards including the FIPRESCI Prize, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, for directing ‘The Last Step’ (2012), and The Crystal Simorgh for Best Adapted Screenplay from the Fajr International Film Festival for the same movie.
He has also received the Diploma of Honor from the Fajr International Film Festival for his performance in ‘Beloved Sky’ (2011) and the Crystal Simorgh from Fajr International Film Festival for acting in ‘Pari’ (1995).
