Nasirpour, Mahtab (born December 20, 1965, Tehran)

Mahtab Nasirpour studied Theater Directing and Acting at University of Tehran and her first stage appearance took place in 1986.

In 1989, she made her television debut. Since then she has appeared in some series, including ‘Tehran License Plate 11’ (1997), ‘And God Created Love’ (2005), and ‘Bench’ (2005-2006).

She made her cinematic debut with ‘The Passengers’ (1991).

This talented actress has appeared in prominent Iranian movies such as ‘The World Upside-Down’ (1997), ‘Killing Dogs’ (2000), ‘I'm Taraneh, 15’ (2001), ‘In the Name of Father’ (2005), ‘The Child of Dust’ (2007), and ‘Tehran 1500’ (2008).

Her outstanding performances have won her several nominations and awards at different film festivals.

Diploma of Honor for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘I am Taraneh, 15’, Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘In the Name of Father’ and Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘The Child of Dust’ from different editions of Fajr International Film Festivals are among them.

Nomination for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘In the Name of Father’ and Award of the Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘The Child of Dust’ from some editions of Iran Cinema Celebrations are among her other achievements.
