Austria was a country that supported Germany in the war and opposed Russia and England. Although Iran had declared its neutrality, Russia and England on the one hand and Germany and the Ottomans on the other hand made Iran an arena for their political conflicts, and in the meantime, Ahmad Shah's relationship with Countess Degoti was also affected by these issues.
