Lorestani, Shohreh (born October 18, 1966, Khorramabad)
Shohreh Lorestani spent her early and teenage years traveling around Iran due to her father’s job.
She was interested in acting from an early age, later studying directing and acting at Tehran University's Faculty of Performance Arts.
Lorestani made her movie debut with 'Need' in 1991.
She has appeared in movies such as 'The Refugee' (1993), 'Leily is With Me' (1995), 'Conspiracy' (1995), 'Under the Peach Tree' (2005), 'The Outcast' (2006), 'The Outcast 2' (2008), 'Wedding Rings' (2009), and 'Iran Burger' (2014).
For a period, she stopped acting and became a caretaker for the elderly. After her comeback, she has mainly taken on roles in comedies.
However, she became a well-known actress after appearing in the series 'Apartment' (1992-1993) and 'Imam Ali (PBUH)' (1991).
She has also acted in the series 'The Cuckoo's Song' (1994), 'Mokhtarnameh' (2004-2009), 'Three by Four' (2008), 'The Rich and the Poor' (2010), '3-5-2' (2011), 'Suitcase' (2012), and 'The Pahlavi Hat' (2012-2013).
