Honarmand, Mohammad-Reza (born 1953, Tehran)
Mohammad-Reza Honarmand who is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, editor and actor has studied Communications Electronics.
He began his career by establishing the Chaplin Art Group where he made short 8mm and 16mm films.
He made his directional debut in 1982 and was first seen by the public for directing and writing the script of ‘Doll Thief’ (1989).
Honarmand has made movies such as ‘The Calls’ (1985), ‘The Meeting’ (1994), ‘The Wrong Guy’ (1998), ‘Mummy 3’ (1999) and ‘Dear, I’m In No Mood’ (2001).
He has also directed successful television series such as ‘Cactus 1’ (1998), ‘Cactus 2’ (2000), ‘Cactus 3’ (2003-2004), ‘Under the Blade’ (2006), and ‘The Chef’ (2009).
He has written five scenarios as well.
