Habib is in prison awaiting sentencing for smuggling two tons of heroin. He's facing either life in prison or the death penalty. He swears that he's innocent, and that a guy named Farhad had tricked him into smuggling the drugs for him. To make matters worse, his father-in-law has been pressuring Habib's wife to divorce him. But when she learns that she's pregnant with his child, she decides to stand by his side, praying that Habib will find a way out. And there just might be a way. Habib learns that there's a clause in the regulations stipulating that a prisoner who memorizes the entire Quran may be granted amnesty. He puts all his efforts into studying the Quran, but will it be enough to help him avoid the hangman's noose?
