'Chef' actor shares Afghan character memory: ifilm exclusive

 In an exclusive talk with ifilm, actor of 'Chef' series, Mohammadreza Ghaffari, says he has acted the role of an Afghan character in 'Butcher Angels' movie.

The actor said to ifilm on the sidelines of a ceremony to commemorate one of the Iranian cinema and theater artists that he played the character of an afghan in Soheil Salimi's 2013 movie.

He added, "I had a teacher for three months who taught me how to say things in the Afghan language."

The actor also played in a series named 'Shelter' by the Mahmoudi siblings who are both Afghan-born.

When ifilm asked about how he feels about playing in the series, he said, "Both brothers are my great friends and it is my honor to work with them.”

The award-winning flick 'Butcher Angels' is a fiction movie about the war-mongering policies of the US in Afghanistan.

Mohammadreza Ghaffari has studied graphics.

He has passed some acting courses and in 2005 played in his first movie ‘Wet Dream’.

He has acted in some movies and series such as ‘Burnt Stars’ (2007), ‘The Chef’ (2008), ‘At the End of 8th Street’ (2010), ‘Receiver’ (2011), ‘The Rules of Accidents’ (2012) and ‘Snow’ (2013).
