Tehran Int’l Book Fair showcases “Pinocchio”

Persian translation of “The Adventures of Pinocchio” will be unveiled at the Tehran International book fair.

“The Adventures of Pinocchio” written by Italian novelist Carlo Collodi in 1883 has been translated in persian by Gholamreza Emami and is going to be unveiled at the Tehran International Book Fair during a special ceremony.

The persian version of the book also includes illustrations from the original version by Roberto Innocenti.

Pinocchio who is famous for his nose was made by a woodcarver named Geppetto. The wooden puppet yearns for becoming a real boy but he has the habit of telling lies. His nose grows in length whenever he tells a lie.
