Meet professional mourners in iFilm flick

Upcoming iFilm weekend flick is themed on death with a tongue-in-cheek tone.

Death seems to be a serious matter to many, though comedy films and series can look at the horror of death in a hilarious way.

When someone passes away in Iran, it’s quite important for their nears and dears to show their grief by so much crying.

While this could be a relief for survivors unprepared for their loss, the deceased with no family members are at a disadvantage here.

To make sure such a scenario won’t happen to the male lead of  ‘How Much for You to Cry’, he decides to hire so-called “Professional Mourner” who could grieve at his funeral.

Awaked at first sight, as many people are uncomfortable with the idea of professional mourners, it’s a job that is growing in popularity in several countries. This can be due to the comfort the survivors feel through others’ expressions of grief.

What makes the film’s story hilarious is that the soon-to-be-departed meets his professional mourners before his death!

"Reza is a terminally ill man who has returned to Iran to die in his homeland. With all his relatives abroad and most of his friends dead, he realizes that he has no one to mourn him when he passes away. And that is where Nasser comes in. Nasser is a young poverty-stricken man who promises to organize the most splendid funeral procession for Reza; while he is still alive!" a synopsis for the flick reads.
