“Fathers are always like a champion to their children” in iFilm’s social drama ‘A House without a Bird’.

Saeed and his son, Pejman, are finally pouring their hearts out. “Fathers are always like a champion to their children; they can always lean on them for support. But you’ve had bad luck; because your father has come to lean on you. I can’t tolerate your absence,” Saeed says.

“When I, your own son, needed his champion, you weren’t there. When I needed you, you left me all alone … you didn’t do anything dad. You did something that no father would do. You left me, Pejman, your only son, all alone in the worst circumstances,” Pejman utters.

Produced by Amir-Hossein Sharifi and directed by Kazem Masoumi, ‘A House without a Bird’ tells the story of Abbas and his wife who have been looking for their daughter whom they lost during the war some thirty years ago.

After they publish an advertisement for the missing person in a newspaper, a young woman shows up and claims to be their long-lost daughter.

A DNA test confirms that she is indeed Abbas’s daughter, bringing joy to their lives.

But the new discovery also threatens to reveal a deep dark secret that Abbas has been hiding all these years which could tear their family apart.

Notable on the cast list are Mohammad Hatami, Ronak Younesi, Saeed Nikpour, Ahou Kheradmand, Esmaeel Khalaj, and Jafar Dehqan.
