10 years on: iFilm English TV celebrates anniversary

The 13th of March has marked the 10th anniversary of iFilm English Television, a channel exclusively dedicated to bringing commercial-free Halal entertainment to viewers worldwide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Programming includes TV series, movies, backstage documentaries on films and ongoing productions, movie and film reviews, short films and documentaries about Iran.

It usually shows series that already aired by various IRIB channels, but it has also had a successful series production including ‘Yadavari’ (Remembrance), ‘Molkavan’, ‘Gileva’ and ‘Gildokht’.  

In 2015, iFilm was shortlisted by an international jury for a prestigious Eutelsat TV Award.

Striving to offer uplifting programs for the mind and soul, as well as a whole new way of presenting TV broadcasting, iFilm Television is available in 4 languages and offers shows in a variety of genres.

Through a combination of satellites and Internet, the channel reaches hundreds of millions of viewers in all parts of the globe.

“iFilm provides the audience with Halal entertainment by offering quality content. Given the common cultural bonds between Iran and the Indian subcontinent, such content can be tailored to the audience cultural demands,” according to Habib Abdolhossein, the managing director of the TV channel.

Since its establishment in 2013, iFilm English Channel has welcomed any opinion, feedback, and comment from its fans.

The channel values its viewers’ comments as an opportunity to enhance the quality of the content and to better communicate with the target audience.
