Prime minister just a title in ‘The Enigma of the Shah’: iFilm cut

The prime minister to confess he is not involved in ‘The Enigma of the Shah’.

The prime minister is to confess he is involved in no affairs of the government in the 76th episode of iFilm’s historical series ‘The Enigma of the Shah’ to be aired at 22:00 GMT tonight.

Regardless of keeping cool in front of the Shah, Amir-Abbas Hoveyda, the then prime-minister of Iran, tells his companion that he is not involved in anything saying, “Even though Nassiri is my deputy, he takes orders from the king. I’m officially not involved. It’s as if I’ve officially become the head of the king’s office.

What the hell is a prime minister? But here in Iran, all you have to do is ask for the king’s opinion. It’s done. Contrary to the constitution, the king is the absolute ruler”.

Don't miss the seventy sixth episode of the series on iFilm TV tonight at 22:00 GMT, or better yet watch it now via the website of the channel.
