Imam Khomeini to form revolutionary council in ‘The Enigma of the Shah’

Imam Khomeini is to form a revolutionary council in the 90th episode of iFilm’s historical series ‘The Enigma of the Shah’ to be aired at 22:00 GMT tonight (01:30 Tehran time).

When French representatives come to give President Carter’s message to Imam Khomeini asking him to approve of Bakhtiyar’s government, Imam delivers a decisive response which is the want of the whole nation.

Imam will tell them that the Iranian people are not scared of the military taking control of the country as they have already been in fight with them. These people are no longer scared and are willing to pay the price f freedom with their own blood.

He will let them know that what the people want is a revolutionary council to be formed and the Shah regime to be toppled down.

Directed by Mohammad-Reza Varzi, ‘The Enigma of the Shah’ recounts Iran’s contemporary history, beginning with the rule of Reza Shah Pahlavi and ending with the Islamic Revolution of Iran which brought down the Pahlavi Dynasty.

In 1979, the Iranian nation rose up to bring an end to the dictatorship of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi.

Led by a charismatic leader named Ayatollah Khomeini, Iranians finally succeeded in changing the country’s system to an Islamic Republic.

Some of the most notable on the prolific cast list are Jafar Dehqan, Hessam Navvab-Safavi, Ali Dehkordi, Rahim Norouzi, Arsalan Qasemi, Mehraveh Sharifinia, Hadis Fouladvand, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Gohar Kheirandish, Siavash Tahmoures and Sorayya Qasemi.
