'Passing through the Hardships' unveils shadows of inheritance

The 28th episode of iFilm period drama 'Passing through the Hardships', airing tonight at 23:00 GMT (2:30 Tehran time) unveils the unfolding drama surrounding Katayoun, her late husband Hedayat's possessions, and her second husband, Tirdad, who will stop at nothing to prevent her from selling them.

Katayoun finds herself in a desperate situation, yearning to immigrate to the United States and start a new life. To achieve this, she believes that selling all of Hedayat's belongings is the only viable option. However, Tirdad's greed blinds him, and he opposes her every step of the way.

In a momentous encounter, Katayoun, accompanied by her eldest daughter, bravely confronts Tirdad to clear the air. The young girl takes a courageous stance, declaring that she is the rightful heir to her father's wealth and that Tirdad has no authority to prevent them from selling the possessions.

But Tirdad has a startling revelation in store for them. He brings to their attention the existence of Mehrdad, Hedayat's son from his second wife. According to Tirdad, Mehrdad is the male heir and, therefore, the rightful inheritor of Hedayat's estate. This revelation throws a wrench into Katayoun's plans to sell everything.

Nevertheless, Tirdad proposes an alternative solution, presenting himself as the supposedly safe custodian for Hedayat's possessions. He offers to buy everything at half the price immediately, promising to pay the remaining balance at a later date. His proposal aims to provide Katayoun and her daughter with the necessary funds to embark on their immigration journey while seemingly ensuring the preservation of the possessions.

However, doubts linger in the air. Can Tirdad truly be trusted? Is his offer genuine, or does he have ulterior motives? Will Katayoun consent to this arrangement and place her trust in Tirdad's hands, ultimately shaping the future of her family's legacy?

Among the cast members of the flick are Pejman Bazeghi, Bijan Emkanian, Mehran Rajabi, Payam Dehkordi and the late Iranian actress Mahchehreh Khalili.
