Dark secrets to be unraveled in 'Passing through the Hardships'

In the 30th episode of iFilm period drama 'Passing through the Hardships', airing tonight at 23:00 GMT (2:30 Tehran time), Sara, Katayoun's eldest daughter, confronts her mother about the misfortunes that have befallen their family.   

Sara's allegations revolve around the belongings of her father and the disconcerting involvement of Tirdad, a shrewd opportunist who strategically married into the family. 

Given the family's waning aspirations of relocating to the United States, they make the decision to liquidate Hedayat's legacy. Nevertheless, Tirdad, an individual not belonging to the family, exhibits resolute determination to impede their progress through any available means.

It is revealed that Katayoun, having realized Tirdad's true motives and manipulation, wasted no time in divorcing him. But to prevent Tirdad from interfering with their plans, she has devised a covert strategy.

Instead of openly announcing the sale, Katayoun resolves to secretly sell the possessions one by one, ensuring that Tirdad remains oblivious to their actions.

Katayoun's cunning plan extends beyond safeguarding their assets. She intends to gather evidence against Tirdad's deceitful machinations and send them to Mehrdad, Hedayat's son from his second wife, Donya.

These documents will expose Tirdad's true nature and how he deceived everyone, shedding light on his ulterior motives.

However, despite Katayoun's efforts, Sara holds her responsible for their inability to sever ties with Tirdad. Sara believes that her mother is somehow entangled in a web of betrayal, casting a shadow over their plans and creating obstacles they must overcome.

Directed by Fereydoun Hassanpour, each episode will repeat the next day at 05:00, 11:00 and 17:00 (all GMT times).

‘Passing through the Hardships’ narrates the most troubled life story of a woman named Donya. On the show, we will see how misery accompanies the poor woman from birth to death.

Among the cast members of the flick are Pejman Bazeghi, Bijan Emkanian, Mehran Rajabi, Payam Dehkordi and the late Iranian actress Mahchehreh Khalili.
