Mehrdad's life takes unexpected turn in 'Passing through the Hardships'

In the 34th episode of iFilm period drama 'Passing through the Hardships', airing tonight at 23:00 GMT (2:30 Tehran time), the long-kept secret is finally unveiled, forever changing the life of Mehrdad.

Mehrdad finds himself confronted with a truth that shatters the foundations of his identity. He discovers that the man he has always known as his father, Hamid, is not his biological parent.

Instead, Mehrdad learns that his real father was a wealthy man named Hedayat, who had married his mother, Donya, as his second wife, solely to bring a son into this world.

As the shocking revelation sinks in, Mehrdad must grapple with a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. The news of his true parentage brings a mix of joy and sorrow.

On one hand, he inherits a vast fortune left behind by his biological father, a man he never had the chance to meet. On the other hand, he must come to terms with the fact that his childhood has been built on a lie.

Donya, Mehrdad's loving and devoted mother, has carried this secret burden for years, protecting him from the truth. She has kept the knowledge of his father's wealth hidden, perhaps fearing it would taint their bond or disrupt the simplicity of their lives.

‘Passing through the Hardships’ narrates the most troubled life story of a woman named Donya. On the show, we will see how misery accompanies the poor woman from birth to death.

Among the cast members of the flick are Pejman Bazeghi, Bijan Emkanian, Mehran Rajabi, Payam Dehkordi and the late Iranian actress Mahchehreh Khalili.
