Bagh-e Golbon marks union ceremony

People in the village of Bagh-e Golbon in Iran’s Gorgan have marked the “Union (or Vesal)” ceremony as the country is observing the National Marriage Week.

Villagers in Bagh-e Golbon observed the rituals and traditions of the union ceremony on Tuesday, which marked the wedding anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA), the daughter of Prophet Muhammad [PBUH], and Imam Ali (AS), the first Shia Imam.

The wedding anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA), and Imam Ali (AS) is marked on the 1st day of the lunar Hijri month of Dhul Hajja, which fell on Tuesday this year.
