Nasser’s yearning for money is to rage his father in iFilm English TV Channel’s series ‘Brother’ to be aired at 21:00 GMT.

Haj Kazem Pahlevan firmly believes that if all the merchants in the country stop importing rice to the country and only trade the rice that is cultivated in Iran, all the local families will have the chance to buy and use the best quality Persian rice.

He also is of the opinion that something should be done to stop these smugglers, who rob the young off the chance of having a proper job in the business of farming this local agricultural product.

Now just imagine how furious this man will be to find out that his own son, Nasser, is one of the smugglers who have stashed the illegally imported foreign rice.

Each episode of the 29-part series will be repeated the next day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00.

Directed by Javad Afshar, the series is about Haj Kazem Pahlavan, a reputable merchant in Tehran’s rice bazaar, who is all about supporting domestic production and trades nothing but Iranian rice.

This puts him at odds with his disgruntled son, Nasser, who thinks making a profit is the only thing that matters.

In the meantime, his daughter, Maryam, a passionate young journalist, is conducting her own investigation into the expired and contaminated foreign rice flooding the market. To her surprise, all the clues lead to her own brother, Nasser.

What ensues is a power struggle between good and evil, in a story of love, sacrifice, and redemption.

Hassan Pourshirazi, Hossein Yari, Pouriya Poursorkh, Reza Tavakkoli, Gelareh Abbasi, Majid Vasheqani, Soheila Razavi, and Kaveh Khoda-Shenas are on the cast list of the series.
