Pourshirazi, Hassan (born 1957, Tehran) 

Hassan Pourshirazi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater and has studied Acting and Directing.

He made his movie debut with ‘Queue’ (1984) directed by Ali-Asghar Asgarian. 

In 1990, he worked as an assistant director in the movie ‘The Game of Elders’.

Pourshirazi also worked as an assistant director, puppeteer and scenic designer.

In 2009, he received the Special Jury prize for his performance in the movie ‘White Meadows’ from the sixth edition of Dubai International Film Festival.

Pourshirazi has appeared in several movies, including ‘The Visitor of Rey’ (2000), ‘Killing Dogs’ (2000), ‘Mom's Guests’ (2003), ‘Orange Taxicab’ (2008), ‘Mr. Seven Colors’ (2008) and ‘How Nice that You Returned’ (2012).

He has also taken part in various TV series such as ‘The Secret’ (1989), ‘Ziba Beauty Salon’ (1990), ‘The Store’ (1996), ‘The Green Journey’ (2001-2002), ‘Narges’ (2006), ‘A Stairway to Heaven’ (2009), ‘The Rise of Mokhtar’ (2009), ‘The Edge of Fire’ (2011), ‘Tell the Truth’ (2012), ‘My Sky’ (2015), ‘Leila's Loneliness’ (2015) and ‘Kimiya’ (2015).

He is married to the Iranian actress Mahnaz Afzali.
