Mr. Kalaei seeks to discredit Mr. Pahlevan in ‘Brother’

Mr. Kalaei is after ruining Haj Kazem Pahlevan’s good reputation in iFilm English TV Channel’s series ‘Brother’ to be aired at 21:00 GMT.

If there is one man Haj Kazem Pahlevan detests on the face of the earth, that man is definitely Mr. Kalaei, Nazi’s father, for all the dishonest ways of conducting his business. That is the reason why Haj Kazem has always refused to enter into any trades with the man.

Nazi’s father is after getting revenge on Haj Kazem and as he cannot directly do so, he has set, the main actor of which is his daughter, who will use her femininity and love towards Nasser to ruin good reputation of the Pahlevan family.

Each episode of the 29-part series will be repeated the next day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00.

Directed by Javad Afshar, the series is about Haj Kazem Pahlavan, a reputable merchant in Tehran’s rice bazaar, who is all about supporting domestic production and trades nothing but Iranian rice.

This puts him at odds with his disgruntled son, Nasser, who thinks making a profit is the only thing that matters.

In the meantime, his daughter, Maryam, a passionate young journalist, is conducting her own investigation into the expired and contaminated foreign rice flooding the market. To her surprise, all the clues lead to her own brother, Nasser.

What ensues is a power struggle between good and evil, in a story of love, sacrifice, and redemption.

Hassan Pourshirazi, Hossein Yari, Pouriya Poursorkh, Reza Tavakkoli, Gelareh Abbasi, Majid Vasheqani, Soheila Razavi, and Kaveh Khoda-Shenas are on the cast list of the series.
