iFilm English presents new comedy series 'The Doormat'

iFilm English is set to launch its latest series ‘The Doormat’ starting from October 27, 2023.

Produced by Seyyed-Mahmoud Razavi and directed by Mohammad-Hossein Latifi, ‘The Doormat’ is a sequel to 'Chimney' and delves into the lives of ordinary individuals facing daily challenges.

Some characters go beyond and come up with some get-rich-quick ideas. Firooz used to run a carpet washing center but, since it closed down, he’s had a hard time keeping his clients. His brother-in-law, Nosrat, unknowingly gets involved in some illegal activities and creates trouble for his family as well as his neighbors.

The star-studded cast includes Behnam Tashakkor, Sima Tirandaz, Houman Barqnavard, Amir-Hossein Rostami, Negar Abedi, Majid Yasser, Ebrahim Azadi, Shahin Taslimi, late Jamshid Mashayekhi, Karim Qorbani, Sadreddin Hejazi, and Mohammad-Reza Shirkhanlou.

‘The Doormat’, originally produced in 2016, is to take the prime slot of ‘The Bounced Check’, airing daily at 18:00 GMT.

For those who cannot catch it at that time, iFilm English will re-air each episode the following day at 00:00, 09:00, and 15:00 (all GMT times).

The series comprises 20 episodes, making it a perfect choice for your daily dose of entertainment.
