Fiery confrontation arises between dad, son: iFilm cut from 'Setayesh'

In tonight's episode of the popular iFilm series ‘Setayesh’, Heshmat stumbles upon his son's unexpected guest.

Tensions reach a boiling point as Heshmat, believing the visitor to be “a dirty street girl”, unleashes a torrent of accusations and frustration.

Taher, caught off guard, is denied the chance to defend himself or explain the situation. Even Setayesh and her brother find themselves unwillingly drawn into the confrontation.

The episode raises the question: How much disrespect can the family endure before reaching a breaking point?

‘Setayesh’ (2010), produced by Arman Zarrinkoub and directed by Saeed Soltani, goes on air every day at 20:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the next day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00.

In the series, Taher has just finished two years of military service, defending Iran against Saddam Hussein’s war of aggression.

His friend, who’s deserted the frontline, wants Taher to help smuggle him out of the country. Despite his better judgment, and at the insistence of his friend’s sister, Setayesh, he agrees.

Taher and Setayesh eventually grow fond of each other and make plans to marry. But a tragedy causes a great gap between their families that threatens to keep the two from ever finding happiness together.

The most notable on the cast list are Daryoush Arjmand, Gohar Kheirandish, Mahmoud Azizi, Narges Mohammadi, Fariba Naderi, Zahra Saeedi, Mehdi Pakdel, Mehdi Solouki, and Jamshid Mashayekhi.
