Following the sad events that happened to Mohammad that led to his death, Taher was held responsible for aiding and abetting him to hide and then flee the country, which later cost him his life.
Setayesh’s parents could never come to terms with the loss of their son even when she confessed it was her that helped her brother and Taher was not to blame for it.
Although Setayesh’s father let her marry Taher, his condition for the union is that he would never accept Taher in his house. It means Setayesh must once and forever part with her dear mother and her childhood house.
Emotions reach their utmost when the mother and daughter say their last goodbye.
The first season of ‘Setayesh’, produced by Arman Zarrinkoub in 2010 and directed by Saeed Soltani, goes on air every day at 20:00 GMT.

In the series, Taher has just finished two years of military service, defending Iran against Saddam Hussein’s war of aggression.
His friend, who’s deserted the frontline, wants Taher to help smuggle him out of the country. Despite his better judgment, and at the insistence of his friend’s sister, Setayesh, he agrees.
Taher and Setayesh eventually grow fond of each other and make plans to marry. But a tragedy causes a great gap between their families that threatens to keep the two from ever finding happiness together.
