Challenge accepted: Proving truth in ‘A Passenger from India’

Ramin and Sita have accepted a challenge on Islam in the ninth episode of iFilm English TV Channel’s popular drama 'A Passenger from India' .

Ramin is a Muslim and he cannot marry a girl who is not practicing Islam. So, he asks Sita to convert to Islam.

But Sita doesn’t believe in Islam and refuses to do so.

On the other hand, Ramin cannot change his faith. Therefore, the two in love accept a challenge; Ramin wants to prove the truth of Islam and Sita wants to prove the opposite.

Produced by Sediqeh Sehhat and directed by Qasem Jafari, ‘Passenger from India’ hits the air daily at 20:00 GMT. Each episode of the 26-part show is repeated the next day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00.

‘Passenger from India’ tells the story of Ramin, who traveled from Iran to India to pursue his academic studies. While there, he met and fell in love with an Indian girl named Sita.

Even though her family opposed the relationship, they got engaged, and he whisked her away to Tehran. Thinking they had dodged past troubles, the youths in love soon realized that their problems had just begun.

Notable among the cast are Behnoush Tabatabaee, Elham Hamidi, Shila Khodadad, Shirin Bina, Nasrin Moqanlou, Majid Moshiri, Aliram Nouraee, Iraj Nozari, Zohreh Fakour-Sabour, Felor Nazari, Farahnaz Manafi-Zaher, Hamid Goudarzi, and Soroush Goudarzi.
