Redeeming brainwashed cult member in ‘The Thief of Souls’

In the upcoming episode of ‘The Thief of Souls’, Vahid is to return to the field to get the work done and make Afsaneh give away some secrets of the cult.

When Vahid started his mission as an undercover agent to find the masterminds of macabre cults that actively brainwashed the more lenient individuals, he could never imagine he would someday end up with disturbed emotions and mindset.

Once he was in the field, the link that connected him to the link was Afsaneh and now he must go back on a new mission to finish the job and bring down the ring leaders.

He must meet Afsaneh and convince her to talk. Will he succeed to break the young woman who is a devoted member of the cult?

“Even those who are born into a cult have instincts which are suppressed at birth. It is these same instincts that save members of cults after long periods of time, even decades, and they are able to free themselves of these cults”, quoted from Steven Hassan, a supreme counselor in the US.

Each part of the 20-episode series airs daily at 19:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV also repeats each episode of the series the next day at 03:00, 08:00, and 14:00.

‘The Thief of Souls’, produced by Abolfazl Safari and directed by Ahmad Moazzami, is about Nader Abedi, a university professor and retired intelligence officer.

Along with his team, he decides to take on a research-oriented case that deals with the adverse effects social media can have on people.

The series' cast includes Alireza Jalali-Tabar, Kamand Amir-Soleymani, Bahram Ebrahimi-Yazdi, Elnaz Habibi, Danial Hakimi, Shiva Khosromehr, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Majid Vasheqani, Iraj Nozari, Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Negin Motazedi, Aliram Nouraee, Vida Javan, Mohammad Omrani, Afsaneh Nasseri, and Matin Sotoudeh.
