Farhad Qaemian awarded first-degree medal of arts

Iranian actor Farhad Qaemian has been awarded the first-degree medal of arts in recognition of his achievements.

Iranian actor Farhad Qaemian has been awarded the first-degree medal of arts in recognition of his lifelong contributions and achievements in cinema, theater, and television.

At the beginning of the board meeting of the Honor Credit Fund, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili stated, “Today, the Honor Credit Fund is a source of pride. By providing diverse services, it has created significant satisfaction among cultural, artistic, and media circles. These efforts would not have been possible without the support of the board members, Mr. Pourahmadi, and his colleagues at the fund.”

“The artists on the board are all influential figures in their respective fields,” Esmaeili added.

Esmaeili highlighted Qaemian's acceptance of the role of director for the Imam Reza (AS) Cultural and Artistic Festival and his participation in various cinematic and television projects as a talented and committed actor.

“We are very pleased to witness the awarding of the first-degree medal of arts to this artist in this meeting,” Esmaeili continued.

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance also thanked the management of the Art Credit Fund and Niavaran Cultural Center for organizing the event and for their efforts in renovating and revitalizing the high-quality yet worn-out center.

“I hope to see even better and more impactful events at Niavaran Cultural Center in the future,” Esmaeili concluded.

Qaemian began his cinematic career in 1991 with short films and entered professional acting with ‘Domrol’ (1993).

His outstanding performance in ‘Heeva’ (1998) earned him a nomination for the Crystal Simorgh for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role at the Fajr International Film Festival in 1999.

Qaemian has appeared in numerous films, including ‘The Burnt Generation’ (1999), ‘Poisonous Mushroom’ (2001), ‘Invitation’ (2008), and 'Bodyguard' (2015).

After 2000, he became more involved in television projects, starring in series such as 'Vafa' (2004), 'Shokraneh' (2007), 'A Stairway to Heaven’ (2009), 'A Time for Love' (2013), 'Remembrance' (2013), and ‘Ancient Land’ (2010-2015).
