High priest's deadly plot against Joseph: iFilm cut

In tonight’s episode of iFilm series ‘Prophet Joseph’, the tension between Joseph and the forces that oppose him reaches a boiling point.

As Joseph’s influence grows, particularly his message of belief in one God, his enemies within the Egyptian priesthood are determined to permanently see him silence.

Fearing that Joseph’s teachings could undermine the power and influence of the traditional Egyptian deities, the high priest is now planning a deadly move to ensure that Joseph’s message does not continue to spread.

Directed by Farajollah Salahshour, the series ‘Prophet Joseph’ is the Iranian version of the beloved story of Prophet Joseph, the son of Prophet Jacob, who led the Israelites to worship the One God.

According to the iFilm English website synopsis, "God announces to Joseph about the next prophet from his generation. One night, Joseph dreams of the sun, the moon, and eleven stars bowing to him. He tells Jacob, who advises him to keep the dream a secret from his brothers."

Prophet Joseph is cherished by Jews, Christians, and Muslims. His story has been told in many ways and languages for centuries.

The most notable names on the cast list are Mostafa Zamani, Jafar Dehqan, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Jahanbakhsh Soltani, Elham Hamidi, and Rahim Norouzi.
