Dehqan, Jafar (born 1960, Tehran)

Jafar Dehqan began his acting career in theater in 1975. In 1981, he worked in the Art Center of the Islamic Development Organization.

Also in 1981, he made his film debut in 'Justification', directed by Manuchehr Haqaniparast.

Dehqan's performance in 'The Majnoon Epic' (1993) earned him a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a Supporting Role from the Fajr International Film Festival.

He has worked as an assistant scenic designer as well. Dehqan has taken parts in other movies such as 'Scent of Joseph' (1995), 'Saint Mary' (2000), 'Salma and the Apple' (2010) and 'The Days of Love and Betrayal' (2013).

He has also appeared in TV series, including 'The Men of Angelos' (1998), 'Prophet Joseph' (2008-2009), 'The Rise of Mokhtar' (2009) and 'A House without a Bird' (2010).
