iFilm English TV to broadcast ‘The Fifth Sun’

iFilm English TV Channel has been scheduled to start airing Iranian series ‘The Fifth Sun’ on Saturday.

Airing of the series, Davoud Hashemi and directed by Alireza Afkhami, is to be started on September 21, 2024.

‘The Fifth Sun’ narrates the story of a poor young man named Mohsen, who lives in war-stricken Tehran, along with his mother and sister.

Things change for him when he finds a mysterious sun pendant that causes him to travel 20 years a head in time.

Now he needs to make sense of everything that’s happened and figure out a way to get back to the life in his own time.

Hamid Goudarzi, Reza Tavakkoli, Pendar Akbari, Mahvash Sabrkon, Esmaeel Khalaj, Shahram Qaedi, Maryam Kaviani, Shabnam Qolikhani and Mehdi Solouki are among the cast members of the series.

‘The Fifth Sun’, made in 2009, replaces ‘Youth’ to be broadcast at 21:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00. ‘The Fifth Sun’ is comprised of 21 segments.
