Baran meets her unknown cousin in ‘The Sound of Rain’

Baran meets her unknown cousin in the seventeenth episode of iFilm English TV Channel’s ‘The Sound of Rain’.

Farid has brought one of Baran’s friends to the hospital and Baran goes there to be there for him. She introduces herself as sister of the injured boy and starts making a scene.

When Farid sees the situation, he tries to calm Baran down. However, she is not willing to give it up. Since Baran and Farid have not seen each other for some 20 years, they don’t know that they are cousins.

Produced by Seyyed-Mohammad Hashemi-Asl and directed by Hossein Soheilizadeh, ‘The Sound of Rain’ hits the air daily at 20:00 GMT.

Each episode of the 40-part show is repeated the next day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00.

The series narrates the story of Taha, a successful businessman and a widower living with his five year old daughter.

On a business trip to Turkey, he gets framed for smuggling drugs and sentenced to life in prison, so he entrusts everything he’s got, including his daughter, to his nephew.

After twenty years, Taha gets released and comes back home, but things aren’t exactly as he’d left them, and he soon realizes he may have put his trust in the wrong people.
