Palestinian director Abdullah Motan has been arrested by the Zionist regime.

Palestinian documentary director Abdullah Motan, who gained international recognition for his film ‘Late Redemption’, has been arrested by the Zionist regime.

Motan’s arrest occurred while he attempted to travel from Palestine to Jordan en route to the UAE.

According to the Public Relations Department of Iran's Documentary, Experimental, and Animation Film Center (DEFC), which is in charge of holding Cinema Verité, Motan is currently detained and faces six months of imprisonment without trial or judicial proceedings.

Motan’s ‘Late Redemption’ was recently screened at the 18th Cinema Verité, earning the Special Jury Prize for the Gaza Section.
