New mural honors Iran naval heroes

A new mural at Tehran's Railway Square marks the 40th day after the martyrdom of 84 sailors aboard Iran's IRIS Dena.

The artwork, created by Saber Sheykh Rezaei, focuses on the martyrs of the Dena vessel.

The mural features a quote from the first message of Iran's Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, to the Islamic Republic of Iran Army on the National Army Day, that reads, “May God’s peace and blessings be upon all the warriors of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army.”

The IRIS Dena was brutally targeted by the U.S. on March 4 in international waters while returning from a multinational naval exercise in India, an event it had been officially invited to attend.
