Art in tribute to Imam Hussein (AS)

The 5th Ashura Painting and Calligraphic Inscriptions event has been held at Tehran’s Baladieh Complex.

The event took place on Friday and was organized on the eve of the Islamic lunar month of Muharram.

It brought together painters and calligraphic artists, who expressed their love and devotion to Imam Hussein (AS) through the creation of Ashura-themed paintings, inscribed banners, and devotional artworks.

Observed by Muslims worldwide, the Day of Ashura commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) at the Battle of Karbala on Muharram 10, 61 AH.

This event continues to inspire Muslims and others to emulate Imam Hussein's (AS) pursuit of independence and liberation.
