Asadian, Homayoun (born February 14, 1959, Isfahan)

Homayoun Asadian is an Iranian director who stepped into the world of cinema by attending classes on filmmaking in 1974 and made a few 8mm films thereafter.

Despite being accepted into Tehran University to study Cinema at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in 1979, he was unable to finish his studies following the Cultural Revolution in Iran.

He began his career as a film photographer and later directed his first feature film, ‘The Sting’, in 1994.

Asadian has directed a number of movies, including ‘The Sunny Man’ (1995), ‘Night of the Fox’ (1996), ‘Joke’ (1999), ‘End Game’ (2000), ‘Ten Figures’ (2008), ‘Gold and Copper’ (2008) and ‘Kissing the Face of the Moon’ (2011).

He has also directed a few series, such as ‘Street Kids’ (2003), ‘If My Dad Were Alive’ (2004), and ‘Neverending Road’ (2007).

He won a Diploma of Honor for Best Director at the 19th Fajr International Film Festival for ‘End Game’.

In addition to directing, Asadian has experienced script writing and production planning, as well as acting in made-for-TV series, including ‘Neverending Road’ (2007) and ‘The Innocent Ones’ (2008).
