Najafi, Ahmad (born 1948, Khorramshahr)
Born Seyyed Ahmad Najafi Shoushtari, Ahmad Najafi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Woodbury University, California.
He started his acting career in 1989 by starring in Masuod Kimiayi’s ‘Snake Fang’ (1988) and subsequently appeared in several other movies.
Najafi’s performance in the TV series ‘Detective Alavi’ (1996) was a turning point in his career and propelled him into more fame.
He has also hosted the Iranian talk show ‘Hot Seat’ (2005-2006) in which he interviewed famous Iranian figures.
Najafi is a prolific television and cinema actor and some of his other works include the series ‘Detective Alavi II’ (2008) and ‘My Sky’ (2014), and the movies ‘Sergeant’ (1990), ‘Tavarish’ (1993), ‘The Last Port’ (1994), ‘Sand Storm’ (1996), ‘Cardboard Hotel’ (1996), ‘Killing Dogs’ (2000), ‘Good Tidings of a Savior’ (2004), ‘Christ’ (2005), ‘One Man, One City’ (2007), ‘Earth and Fire’ (2010) and ‘I am an Iranian’ (2014).
He has also worked as a film producer and assistant director.
