Leila’s life turned upside down when she met Mohammad, the poor pious young man who had chosen to live like a recluse at the mausoleum. She was an outgoing modern woman of wealth who lived her life as a free spirit up until her first encounter with Mohammad.
Since then something changed in Leila and took a complete different path. As a married woman now, she has devoted all her love and attention to the man he has chosen to spend the rest of her life with. However, old acquaintances such as Shayan might not let her to go as she desires.
The fact that how Mohammad will react to all the dark references they will make about her past will say a lot about his character.
‘Leila's Loneliness’, produced by Mohammad-Reza Shafiee and directed by Mohammad-Hossein Latifi, tells the story of a girl from a rich family who travels from the US to her ancestral homeland, Iran, and falls in love with Mohammad, the custodian of a mausoleum who is a religious man.
Despite ideological differences, Leila finds peace in Mohammad’s austere and spiritual lifestyle and gets married to him. Leila faces many ordeals and hardships in her life, but her faith helps her to overcome them.
