The Patriarch to face a life-altering news: iFilm exclusive cut

In the 3rd episode of 'The Patriarch', Asdollah is about to be confronted with a very harsh news.

In the third episode of iFilm English TV's series 'The Patriarch' to be aired at 20:00 GMT tonight, Asdollah is about to be confronted with the news of Azar's decision not to live with him.

Unlike the traditional norms followed in Asdollah's household, Azar, the newly-wed wife of Asdollah's son Nasser, is not willing to move into the family home and abide by Asdollah's stringent dictatorship. She yearns for autonomy to create her own path and make her own choices.

For Molouk, Asdollah's wife, delivering this news to her husband is a daunting task.

She knows Asdollah's deep-rooted beliefs about familial hierarchies and the authority he expects to exert over the younger generations.

When Molouk finally musters the courage to share Azar's decision, Asdollah's reaction is unsurprising.

He dismisses the idea with a chuckle, believing that his persuasive nature will easily convince Azar to change her mind.

He views Azar's desire for independence as youthful naivety, thinking he can maintain control over her decisions.

However, the clash of traditional values and modern aspirations is inevitable.

While some may argue that ignoring the elders' advice and pursuing an independent path is disrespectful, others contend that each individual has the right to shape their destiny and live life according to their own beliefs and aspirations. Which side do you stand on?

Join the conversation on the intricate family dynamics and the clash of traditional values with modern aspirations in #ThePatriarch. Share your thoughts and perspectives on iFilm's social media pages.

Each episode of the show will come to you three times the next day after the original screening at 01:00, 07:00, and 12:00, all in GMT.
