Stirring beneath flames: iFilm cut from 'The Patriarch'

In the 9th episode of iFilm English TV's series 'The Patriarch', to be aired at 20:00 GMT tonight, a new twist will send shockwaves through the patriarch's world.

Nasser and Azar, seeking independence from the family's patriarchy, embark on a journey to carve out their own lives.

Challenged by financial constraints, the couple finds themselves with limited options. Their destination becomes the home of Zohre’s mother, an individual with whom Asdollah shares a longstanding enmity.

Meanwhile, despite the knowledge being widespread within the family, Asdollah remains blissfully unaware of their new abode.

However, Zohreh, a master of mischief, decides to take matters into her own hands.

Seizing the opportunity, she encourages her daughter to break the news to Asdollah, igniting a fiery confrontation.

How will Asdollah react when confronted with the truth? Will Zohreh's daring move spark a war within the family?

Directed by Akbar Khajouee, the 22-episode drama, hits the small screen every evening at 20:00 GMT.

Each episode of the show will come to you three times the next day after the original screening at 01:00, 07:00, and 12:00 (all GMT times).

'The Patriarch' is about an Iranian family under the firm grip of an old-fashioned patriarch, Asdollah. He rules his family with unwavering authority, and his every word is treated as absolute law.

None dare to challenge or question him, and even his adult children, after they are married and have families of their own, remain under his watchful eye.

However, the dynamics of the family begin to shift when his youngest son, Nasser, prepares to get married, and his future bride refuses to accept Asdollah's terms.
