Our second feature shines a light on veteran actress Sorayya Qasemi.

In these roles, Qasemi has portrayed a variety of characters, often depicting the archetype of a caring mother striving to keep her family together.
However, one standout performance in 'The Enigma of the Shah' shows Qasemi's versatility.
Here, she takes on the role of the head of a group of beggars in the 1970s, displaying a depth and range that wondered audiences despite appearing in only a few scenes.
Qasemi's journey into the entertainment industry began in the early 1960s, following in the footsteps of her mother Hamideh Kheirabadi.
Starting as a radio host, Qasemi transitioned to stage acting, earning acclaim for her performances. She also made her mark in dubbing films and series, expanding her repertoire and demonstrating her ability.
Her talent and hard work have won her prestigious awards, including the Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for her role in 'Maral' in 2000.
