iFilm English TV to broadcast ‘Kimia’

iFilm English TV is set to premiere the highly anticipated Iranian series ‘Kimia’, starting September 04, 2024.

Directed by Javad Afshar and produced by Mohammad-Reza Shafiee, this 110-episode drama delves deep into significant events in Iran’s contemporary history through the life of its central character, Kimia Parsa.

The series chronicles the journey of Kimia, a young girl from Khorramshahr, as she navigates through some of the most pivotal moments in modern Iranian history.

From the reign of the last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, to the Islamic Revolution and the devastating Iran-Iraq war under Saddam Hussein, Kimia’s story is one of resilience amid hardship.

Despite the pain and sorrow she endures, Kimia’s hope and determination drive her forward.

The star-studded cast includes renowned actors such as Azita Hajiyan, Mehdi Soltani-Sarvestani, Gelareh Abbasi, Pouriya Poursorkh, Hassan Pourshirazi, Reza Kianian, and Niki Karimi.

Additionally, Mehraveh Sharifinia, Mehdi Pakdel, Amir-Hossein Arman, and several other prominent Iranian actors contribute to the ensemble.

Replacing the series ‘Restless’, ‘Kimia’ will air daily at 22:00 GMT on iFilm English TV, with repeats scheduled for 04:00, 10:00, and 16:00 GMT the following day.
