iFilm English TV to show ‘Senator’

iFilm English TV Channel’s feature film ‘Senator’ has been scheduled to be aired on February 8, 2025.

The movie, produced by Gholamreza Mousavi and directed by Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh, is a historical romance.

Written by Fereidoun Jeirani, it tells the story of Ali Haqiqat, a young man who unknowingly joins forces with drug smugglers by accepting a job as their truck driver.

Ali is caught at a police checkpoint where he meets Sergeant Major Haqgou – a long serving and honest officer of the Iranian Gendarmerie force.

Sergeant Major Haqgou discovers heroin in Ali’s truck and gets assigned to take Ali to Tehran for prosecution.

However, during their trip, Officer Haqgou decides Ali is innocent and helps him escape.

Together, the pair set out to find the real culprits behind the country’s biggest drug trafficking business.

The cast list of the movie includes Bijan Emkanian, Faramarz Qaribian, Mozaffar Soltani, Behzad Rahimkhani, Paridokht Eqbalpour and Enayat Bakhshi.

‘Senator’, made in 1983, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00.
