Famed actor named Open Air fest director

A well-known actor has been chosen to lead Iran’s Open Air Film Festival.

This will be Cheraghipour’s second time in the role.

Cheraghipour is 62 years old and was born in the city of Qasr-e Shirin. Over the years, he has worked in more than 70 stage plays, as well as a large number of movies, TV shows, and short films.

Some of his well-known movies include 'A Woman is Always Involved', 'No Men Allowed', and 'Dance with Me'. He has also acted in iFilm's popular TV series 'The Graduates'.

The first Open Air Film Festival was held in May 2025 in Lahijan, a city in north of Iran. The second edition of the festival will also take place in the north of the country.
