Prominent directors to make documentaries on martyred Leader funeral

As the funeral approaches for the martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, a group of well-known directors and producers has stepped in to record the event.

According to media reports, Mehdi Shah-Mohammadi and Hamed Shakibania are among directors and producers who have made the necessary arrangements in recent days to begin filming the historic funeral of the Leader, with the support of the Documentary, Experimental & Animation Film Center (DEFC) as the investor.

They are currently preparing for production and gathering footage of the public mourning ceremonies, including images related to the martyrdom of the Leader and the rituals of the fortieth day after his martyrdom, which have been recorded in three important locations: Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad.

Along with these preparations, the names of other well-known directors have also been raised for the production of documentaries about this historic event.

Reza Mirkarimi, Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian, and Hamed Shakibania are reportedly among the directors who will be leading the documentary groups for this event.
