Rashidi, Masoud (born June 5, 1957, Harsin-died November 8, 2025)

Masoud Rashidi, born in Harsin County, Kermanshah Province, graduated in Applied Statistics from Shahid Beheshti University.

Rashidi began his career by making a number of short films and partaking in national and international filmfests.

As a director assistant, he started with the movie ‘All My Children’ in 1984. He was director assistant of some other works such as Daryoush Mehrjouee’s ‘Hamoon’ (1989) and ‘The Lady’ (1991).

In 1992 Rashidi directed his first TV series. His series ‘Fight against Fate’ was the most popular series of 1998 in Iran.

He directed several series, including ‘Alone in Darkness’ (1999), ‘Heart of Ice’ (2000), ‘Seven Treasures’ (2001), ‘Nice Taste of Childhood’ (2002), ‘Farman’ (2002), ‘Spring Rain’  (2005), ‘Golrizan’ (Fundraising) (2007), and ‘Yalda’ (2008).

Rashidi also directed some made-for-TV films such as ‘Be My Mother’ (2007), ‘The Long Day’ (2009), ‘Here is no Stranger’ (2009), and ‘Youth Passion’ (2010).

He passed away on November 8, 2025 due to a heart stroke.
