Moqaddam, Sirous (born December 22, 1954, Abadan)

Sirous Moqaddam, a prolific director of TV series, graduated in painting from the Art University in Tehran.

At the age of 22, he became assistant director and costume and stage designer of ‘Uncle Napoleon’ (1976).

He directed his first feature film in 1991.

In the same year, he assisted director Davoud Mirbaqeri in the religious-historical series ‘Imam Ali’ (1991-1996).

Subsequently, Moqaddam directed many TV series, which is why he is called the ‘TV series factory’. He has made more than 17,000 minutes of TV series in various genres.

Addressing people’s everyday concerns, creating memorable characters and highlighting the important role of women in society, are some of the features of Moqaddam’s works.

He has directed several series, including ‘The Days of Life’ (1998-1999), ‘The Passenger’ (1999-2000), ‘The Young Officer’ (2001), ‘The Seamen’ (2002), ‘Reyhaneh’ (2005), ‘Narges’ (2006), ‘Floating in a Bubble’ (2006), ‘Coma’ (2007), ‘A Message from the Afterlife’ (2008), ‘Day of Envy’ (2008), ‘The Blessed’ (2009), ‘Under the Vestibule’ (2010), ‘The Capital’ (2011), ‘Until Being with Sorayya’ (2011), ‘The Bounced Check’ (2011-2012), ‘The Capital 2’ (2013), ‘Relatively Bad Guys’ (2013), ‘The Capital 3’ (2014), ‘Madine’ (2014), ‘Michael’ (2015), and ‘The Capital 4’ (2015).

He has also directed some movies, such as ‘Sheikh Mofid’ (1995), ‘The Attorney’ (2000), ‘Livid Lily’ (2007), ‘Nightmare’ (2008), ‘The Day After Happiness’ (2008), ‘A Lullaby to Awaken’ (2008), ‘A Time to Plow’ (2010), and ‘The Private Life of Amir’ (2010).
