Shadegan Wetland is a major tourist destination in the southwestern province of Khuzestan in Iran.
The wetland, which lies in the city of Shadegan, is mainly fed by Jarahi River water and enjoys rich biodiversity.
Shadegan Wetland provides a habitat for migrating waterfowl from north Europe, Canada and Siberia in autumn and winter.
It is one of the wetlands listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
