Qazvin

Alamut Castle is one of the most unique historical fortresses in Iran.

The mountain fortress is considered as one of the major tourist attractions of the northwestern province of Qazvin.

One of the wonders of Alamut is its complex water supply system with 10-cm-diameter clay water pipes which have been used to move water from a spring to the castle, where it has been stored in rock basins.
