Giveh is a type of traditional footwear quite popular in many parts of Iran, including rural areas of the country.
Being one of the most comfortable and sturdy traditional shoes in the world, Giveh are two parted with the upper having woven treads, sewn onto a leather or rubber sole.
The footwear can easily let the air circulate from its tiny pores to prevent feet from getting sweaty in hot summer days.
The breathable shoes traditionally come in white colors, but nowadays you can also find them in red, blue, orange, and black.
The main production centers of Giveh are based in rural and mountainous areas of Kermanshah and Yazd Provinces of Iran.
